License plates, 1928-1961.

Lists, 1928-1961, recording license plate numbers of buses, trucks, snow plows, and passenger vehicles owned by the Surface Transportation Corporation of New York. Lists include license plate number, vehicle number, and, in some instatces, related information such as make, serial number, and year of construction. Many of the lists were submitted by the corporation's Truste in Reorganization Lester T. Doyle. Also included is a partial list recording the dates of conversion from trolley car to bus service, 1930-1947, for individual routes in Manhattan, Westchester, and the Bronx.
